Visiting The Museum
Although the the East London Line is closed for refurbishment it is easy to get to the museum using the tube and/or buses. For public transport journey planning use the Transport for London Journey Planner.
From London Bridge station we are only two stops away on the Jubilee line.
The 47, 188 and 381 pass close to the museum. If on the 47 or 188 get off close to the roundabout for the Rotherhithe road tunnel. If on the 381 get off at Rotherhithe station which is currently closed. It is then a two minute walk up Railway Avenue to the museum.
We are situated close to the river on the Thames Path.
As of February 2008 the museum is completely wheel chair accessible.
Admission charges are £2 for adults and £1 for concessions and children under 16 are free. We are open seven days a week between 10:00 and 17:00. The museum is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's day.
