The Brunel Museum Valentine

Sun 12th February,  Tue 14th February

£6 ticket includes descent of the Grand Entrance Hall for a love story, entry to the Museum and self-guided tour of the Thames Tunnel itself.

Come to the Brunel Museum this weekend for a thrilling day of romance.

The Brunel Museum: putting the romance back in engineering, and the engineering back in romance.

Grand Entrance Hall

A gentle descent by intimate entrance and narrow staircase into the Vestibule of Love to hear the story of the Engineer and the Actress and what they did next…

Sun 12th Feb: 1pm, 2pm, 3pm

Tue 14th Feb : 7pm, 8pm, 9pm

Museum of Tunnelling

The Engine House is licensed and open all evening for serious instructions on sinking shafts, driving through soft earth and what to do in dark places. The café overlooks the river and serves prosecco!

Tunnel of Love

Guide yourself (you’re in capable hands!). Courtesy of Transport for London, feel your way carefully through the Tunnel of Love. Download our tour (here) and take it with you on London Overground’s Love Train. Follow our safety instructions and be sensible. We will take you gently but firmly, remotely but caringly, through proud columns and unfamiliar places to a passionate - and now lovingly shared - engineering climax. All aboard!

Apres Train

Enjoy a meal at The Mayflower pub or Simplicity Restaurant, both opposite the Museum? Or The Wapping Project on the other side of the river? But hurry or they will be fully booked…

NB Although the Grand Entrance Hall is 50 feet in diameter, visitors must crawl through a short tunnel to reach a high platform above the chamber and descend into the chamber for the tales of love. Visitors with any concerns should contact the museum beforehand.  No booking necessary - just turn up and hold your breath!
